Renovation Upgrades Foster Greater Learning & Development

Our recently completed, extensive building and grounds renovation features significant design and function upgrades, and reflects our responsiveness to the needs of our students and families. From the moment families enter through our front door, they are treated to the sights and sounds of our warm, safe, unified space including beautiful new classrooms, an indoor play space and expanded facilities. Our “Building on Excellence” project also includes an outdoor playground and a tricycle track that allow a child to safely experience the joys of play while instilling and reinforcing motor coordination skills.

The values of the founding women who began Children’s Day 126 years ago are still very much in tact and continue to deepen as we grow our facilities and services. Our commitment to excellent education and to meeting the needs of those we serve continues to drive our mission to improve the lives of at-risk children and families.

Implementing the nationally recognized High Scope curriculum, Children’s Day education specialists customize this program to best meet the needs of each child. In addition to the education component, we support their social-emotional needs and foster the growth and resilience of each child.

We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home. Children’s Day fulfills that need. The donors who enabled our renovation can be proud of our beautiful and functional space that meets the needs of all our families, empowering them to aim higher in school, work, and life.
